Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva: ‘ Recycle Michael’ Retires, Lunch, Shop Closure

‘ Recycle Michael’ Retires

Age Concern shop volunteers gathered at Alfonsos in Estepona to both thank Michael Davis for all the hard work he has put in over 12 years to support the work of Age Concern, and also to enjoy a marvellous meal.

Michael is well known in Estepona for his desire to see discarded items recycled and is also well known for his willingness to help others. As well as collecting donations Michael has repaired and serviced disability equipment, delivered such equipment to clients. He has helped people in their homes and helped maintain the shop. No job too small, no job too big has been his mantra.

At the lunch Eileen Dry, President of Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, spoke on behalf of all the volunteers when she thanked him for his undying support and dedication and wished him a happy retirement. He will be missed as he opens a new chapter to his life at the start of his 81st year.
