‘ Recycle Michael’ Retires
Age Concern shop volunteers gathered at Alfonsos in Estepona to both thank Michael Davis for all the hard work he has put in over 12 years to support the work of Age Concern, and also to enjoy a marvellous meal.
Michael is well known in Estepona for his desire to see discarded items recycled and is also well known for his willingness to help others. As well as collecting donations Michael has repaired and serviced disability equipment, delivered such equipment to clients. He has helped people in their homes and helped maintain the shop. No job too small, no job too big has been his mantra.
At the lunch Eileen Dry, President of Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, spoke on behalf of all the volunteers when she thanked him for his undying support and dedication and wished him a happy retirement. He will be missed as he opens a new chapter to his life at the start of his 81st year.
There are still places available for the Age Concern lunch arranged for Thursday 20th August 2015, 13.30 for 14.00, at La Torre, next to Parque Los Pedregales on the Estepona to Casares road. The cost is 8,50€ for Friends and Volunteers, 10€ for all other guests. It will be a three course meal (a choice from 5 starters and 5 main courses) with a drink . A bottle of wine between four people will be included, water will also be provided.

Age Concern would like to remind people that the shop in Calle Zaragoza, Estepona is now closed until 2nd September. Arrangements can still be made for the loan of disability equipment but the sooner that is reserved, even if required in August, the better.
