Well if you were at the Age Concern 50´s & 60´s Rock & Roll night at La Peña Arrebato you will know what a superb night it was. The music was great (thank you Colin) the food was great (chicken, chips, salad and veg) and the atmosphere wonderful (thanks to all the Age Concern committee members who put the bunting and balloons up in the morning). Thanks also must go to Val & Julia who organised everything; not forgetting Barry & Brian who welcomed everyone at the gate, and the lovely ladies who sold me a winning raffle ticket (a hair dryer!).
As a wimp can I say that I left early (1-30 a.m.) even though the party was still going on. But I had danced the night away (in the company of many others) and I was hoarse the next morning from all the singing along to the great songs. If you didn´t go then watch out for Age Concern´s next do – we aim to make it bigger and better!
